Stephon Clark, 22, was a unarmed black male, a father of, who was killed by police in his grandmother’s backyard in early March. The shooting has caused a lot of widespread protests in California and New York. The two officers responded to the 911 call of someone breaking car windows. A Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department helicopter also responded to the 911 call. Deputies on that helicopter reporter a man with a toolbar in a nearby back yard and directed ground officers to that direction. Each of the two officers fired 10 shots for a total of 20 shots fired. Officers reportedly fired rounds at Clark believing he had a gun with him, they found no weapon near him only his Iphone.

It is still unclear how many of the 20 shots hit Clark, it is unclear where they hit Clark, and it is unclear if Clark was responsible for the break-ins reported that night.
